Plastic DC Gearmotors

This tiny, cylindrical gearmotor consists of a coreless brushed DC motor and a 5.1:1 plastic planetary gearbox. The entire assembly has a diameter of just 6 mm (0.24″) and an extremely light weight of 1.2 g (0.042 oz), making it a great actuator for miniature robots and very small mechanisms.

This compact, inexpensive plastic gearmotor (high-power brushed DC motor with a 120:1 reduction gearbox) is well suited for use in small robots. While intended for operation at 4.5 V, it should run comfortably in the 3 V to 6 V range. The gearbox has a 9.7mm-long, 3 mm-diameter D-shaped output shaft that is offset from but parallel to the motor shaft, and a built-in safety clutch helps protect the gears from excessive loads. This version also has a 5×1.5 mm extended motor shaft.

This replacement gearmotor for the Romi/TI-RSLK MAX has an encoder already installed. The assembly is ready to plug into corresponding headers on our various Romi electronics modules, including the Romi 32U4 control board and the Romi Motor Driver and Power Distribution Board. Two of these are included with the Pololu Chassis Kit for TI-RSLK MAX.

This 224:1 gearmotor (gearbox with brushed DC motor) has a low-current motor and provides power and speed that is comparable to an RC servo at a fraction of the cost.

The GM8 is essentially a 143:1 version of the GM2 gearmotor. If you want a bit more speed than what the GM2 will give you, this is the motor for you!

This 143:1 brushed DC gearmotor is the right-angle version of the GM8 and the high-speed version of the GM3.

This 130-size brushed DC motor has a recommended operation voltage of 3 – 12 V and is used in the larger Pololu plastic gearmotors. Approximate specifications at 6 V: free-run speed of 11,500 RPM, free-run current of 70 mA, and stall current of 800 mA.
