    New product: G2 High-Power Motor Driver 24v13

    - 4 January 2016

The driver will go into brake mode for about 25us once the current chopping threshold is reached. We have updated the description on the product pages for our Pololu G2 High-Power Motor Drivers to include that information as well.

    Hi, nd.

We don't currently have anything in the works. What features are you looking for that aren't already provided in existing Bluetooth LE boards?

    Hi, NATTHAPONG.

The G2 High-Power Motor Driver 24v13 can be used at 100kHz with locked-antiphase control. Whether a heat sink is needed for your application will depend on your motor and the load you put on it. However, the specifications we give on the driver's product page are for operation at ambient room temperature without a heat sink.

Video: Setting the Current Limit on Pololu Stepper Motor Driver Carriers

    - 1 October 2015

    Hi, Pierre.

The video has captions that you can turn on by clicking the CC symbol in the bottom right corner of the video's pop-up user interface. You can also access different settings for the captions (like different languages) by clicking the gear symbol to the right of the CC symbol. If you want to see all of the captions from the video at once, you could select "Transcript" from the "More" menu which can be found just above the video's description if you are viewing the video directly on YouTube.

  • New versions of our 500mA D24V5Fx step-down voltage regulators

New versions of our 500mA D24V5Fx step-down voltage regulators

    - 16 September 2015

    Hi, Philippe.

If you want reverse voltage protection, you should put the diode before the input to the regulator, not on the output. Any diode that can do half an amp and has a reverse voltage rating beyond what you plan to apply should be fine; a schottky type is preferable since it will give you less forward voltage drop.

New high-current stepper driver carrier with SPI: AMIS-30543

    - 5 August 2015

    Hi, Paul.

I am glad you are interested in our new AMIS driver carrier. However, blog comments are not an appropriate place for this level of technical help.

I noticed that you also posted about this topic on our forum. I recommend continuing the discussion there.

Also, your post was difficult to read with the all your serial monitor outputs, so I removed that portion of your comment. If you have large portions of text like that to share, there are websites that can help with that (e.g. pastebin.com).

    Hi, Heinz.

The SLA output on the AMIS-30543 is an advanced and complicated feature, so we have no immediate plans to make a beginner example for using it. We appreciate the feedback though, and will keep it in mind.

    Hi, Cliff.

The only Arduino library we have for the LSM303 is the one you linked to.

It looks like you also posted this question on our forum, which is a better place to discuss technical support matters, and another forum member responded. If you have more questions, please continue the discussion there.

    Hi, Joe.

We generally prefer metric units, too, but when the standard pin spacing is 0.1", dimensions in inches are generally much nicer. For example, you can immediately tell that a row spacing of 0.7" is breadboard-compatible; can you easily tell if a spacing of 1.778 cm is breadboard compatible?
