Elenco 21-883 Hexapod Monster
The hexapod monster is a six-legged robot that walks forward until it detects an obstacle, in which case it backs up and turns before resuming its forward motion. There is a separate gearbox for each side of the robot, allowing for differential control of the robot’s motion. Obstacle detection is performed through an infrared sensor at the front of the robot.

There is a separate gearbox for each side of the robot, allowing for differential control of the robot’s motion. Obstacle detection is performed through an infrared sensor at the front of the robot.
The kit consists of four die-cut and painted plywood panels, a printed circuit board, two motors and gearboxes, battery holders, and all necessary hardware and components. The robot runs off of two AA batteries (motors) and a 9V battery (sensor electronics).

Note: The Elenco hexapod monster is a kit; assembly is required. This kit requires soldering. Two AA batteries and a 9V battery are required but not included.
