Tamiya Plug with 10cm Leads, Male
This style of high-current connector is commonly used with the 7.2V battery packs that power many RC cars. The connector is keyed so that power cannot be reversed, and a latch secures the connection so that it will not become disconnected. This style of high-current connector is commonly used with the 7.2V battery packs that power many RC cars. The connector, sometimes called Tamiya or Kyosho, is keyed so that power cannot be reversed. A latch secures the connection so that it will not become disconnected.
This is the male version of the connector (we also offer a matching female version). Two 10cm 14-AWG wires are crimped inside the connector housing and extend 9cm past the plastic housing. The leads have silicone insulation and stripped, tinned terminations. As an alternative, we sell a Tamiya connector pack that includes housings and crimp pins you can use to attach these male connectors to your own wires.
Note: these Tamiya connectors are sometimes referred to as “female” in the RC hobby industry, so please look at the connector picture below carefully to make sure it is what you want.
