These premium stranded copper wires are great for making quick and easy prototyping connections. Each end is pre-crimped with a male or female crimp pin, and they can be combined with our crimp connector housings to create custom cables with 0.1″ (2.54 mm) connectors. Just pick colors and genders for your wires and snap them into the housings of your choice (note: getting the wires out is possible but not as easy). No soldering is required!
These cables give you the flexibility to make harnesses or assemblies that branch from one connector on one side to multiple connectors on the other (the left picture below shows an example of this). You can also cut off one pre-crimped end and solder the wires directly to components to make swapping connections easy, as shown in the right picture below.

These wires are available with male crimp pins on both ends, female crimp pins on both ends, or one male and one female crimp pin. These crimped terminals are designed for use with 0.1″ (2.54 mm) male headers and female headers, solderless breadboards, and prototyping PCBs. Close-up pictures of the male and female crimp pins are shown below:

Note: The male crimp pins and female crimp pins are also available by themselves for those who want to crimp their own wires with different lengths or gauges.

The following video talks about some of our various wire and cable options and includes a short demonstration of how to use these pre-crimped wires with our crimp connector housings:
One of our customers has made a nice video that talks about how to make custom cables with these pre-crimped wires and with self-crimped wires made with our crimping tool. The section on using pre-crimped wires and crimp connector housings starts at around 2:00.

This video, created by customer Derek Molloy, discusses various options for making custom cables with our crimp connector housings, such as by using our pre-crimped wires or crimping your own with our wider crimping tool, though the same technique works with our narrower crimping tool as well. The section on using the crimping tool starts at around 4:15.
